Infant Program

Our infant programs are for children 0 to 18 months of age. Prior to enrolling, families will receive a registration package to complete and review with the Educators. Specific information will be shared to assist Educators with getting to know you as a family and meeting your infant’s individual needs, regarding feeding schedule, sleep schedule etc. We encourage families to visit the program, meet the Educators and observe the daily schedule/routines.

As Infants enter the program we begin building strong relationships. Our program focuses on the children’s individual interests and needs as they learn through play and exploration. Daily activities will involve fine and gross motor, creative, sensory, music and language experiences. The infants play outdoors 2 hours a day, weather permitting. We follow the HighScope curriculum and utilize the document from the Ministry of Education, “How Does Learning Happen?” Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years.

The infant room has a sleep policy which involves a physical visual check that is implemented and recorded every 15 minutes. When 3 or more babies are at rest, an Educator remains in the sleep room.

We offer the infant program at the following locations: Community Complex and Oxford Gardens.
