Preschool Program
Our preschool program is guided by the HighScope curriculum and “How Does Learning Happen? Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years” document from the Ministry of Education for children ages 30 months up to 6 years of age. We offer a play based program that involves children and Educators discovering, researching and learning together in partnership.
Our program offers small group activities, large group activities, outdoor play and indoor play. Our indoor play offers many developmentally appropriate areas for the children to explore and learn the skills they need to become competent, capable children. Preschool children enjoy an hour of outdoor time in the morning and in the afternoon where they explore nature and build large muscle skills. The children are served a nutritious snack in the morning and afternoon, along with a hot lunch.
We offer the preschool program at the following locations: Algonquin, Community Complex, Oxford Gardens and Parkside.
